You left your home country, your heart filled with excitement and sadness at the same time. You knew you couldn't continue living at home due to the economic and financial hardships you were facing. Moving to greener pastures felt like the best decision at the time and you couldn't wait to start over in a new country! Even though you knew you would miss your family, you wanted to escape and live a better life.

So you packed up and sold everything at home and started from scratch. You bought new furniture, household goods, clothes and more. You thought you would start at the top of your old career because you were skilled and had UK credentials.

Sadly, that didn't happen the way you thought it would. You had to over deliver and over perform, prove yourself constantly and constantly go the extra mile. Even though you eventually settled in your new country and enjoyed having the security of your 9 - 5 job, you craved familiarity, family and fresh home grown food. You soon discovered that living in the diaspora came with its own challenges. The long train rides to work, the cold winters, the discriminatory and insensitive remarks from people — at work and on the street, the lack of opportunities at work, the constant need to prove yourself and even the bland food.

Fast forward 20 years — you desire freedom, quality family time, financial security and fun. You know you're meant for more — your heart is yearning for home, a place where you can retire peacefully and be less stressed.
